When I was first invited to Parliament Hill Lido, I had no preconceptions of the event and went with an open mind. I soon realised I was among a very tight-knit group of cold water swimmers who were completely devoted to their sport and community. All the swimmers showed so much encouragement, motivation and respect towards each other regardless of ability, or outcome. Taking the plunge into a ice cold lido is certainly not my idea of entertainment, however whilst observing and documenting the swimmers, It reiterated the importance of diversity, encouragement and community especially in challenging circumstances.
